Alasdair and Alice Macdonald known throughout the real estate industry as the A-Team, were the founders of Ocean Estates International in 1985, subsequently selling the company after 22 years in 2007, which was then the undisputable top-selling company on the Costa del Sol, with over 2,500 sales from their Puerto Banus operation alone.

On selling their company, Ocean Estates International, in 2007, after 22 years, when it employed no less than 350 full-time salaried staff, throughout their operations in Spain, Turkey, Thailand, Bulgaria, United Kingdom and South Africa, where, as developers, Ocean had no less than 8 branded developments, ranging from beach front to front line golf.
